Location: For this role we are open to remote work located anywhere within the United States and Canada.

About the Opportunity:

You will be working on our ground-breaking microservice solution that helps organization leaders develop their talent strategy and staffing plan through Dayforce’s Position Management feature. Your impact will be evident through your effective participation in the entire lifecycle of our software including design, analysis, prototyping, development, testing and support of our products. You will work closely and collaborate with clients, prospects, implementation partners, and Dayforce personnel to envision and deliver the required functionality. You will be conducting code reviews of peer work and mentoring other developers.

Our Team:

This team was formed to solve real business problems and to solve them well. We are responsible for every aspect of our software: design, development, testing, operations, maintenance, and support. To tackle this wide range of responsibilities, we are a technology team with diverse skillsets and experience level. We build quality software because we care equally about our work and each other as a team. We know that good working conditions produce the best long term results so we believe in working hard, but being flexible where it counts and emphasizing everyone's work/life balance.

Our Work:

  • Because we have to solve a variety of problems, our software is technically and functionally diverse: web application, native mobile application, web services, APIs, scripts, end-user applications, integrations between systems, operational and reporting systems
  • Our users are both customers and our own employees so we need to tailor our software for each group
  • Our software helps the company meet business objectives and boost operational efficiency

What you'll get to do:

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document software solutions in all areas of our systems: front-end, back-end, database
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers, in working on requirements, software development, and even the way in which the team works
  • Learn functional and technical details of the Dayforce Benefits feature and HCM ("Human Capital Management") domain

Skills and Experience we value:

  • You establish a deep understanding of problems and find the best solution rather than settling on the first solution
  • You communicate your thoughts well to others, especially in written form–and code is a type of writing
  • You have working knowledge of object oriented programming (OOP) languages and concepts, JavaScript and web technology, SQL and relational database systems
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technology field
  • You have aptitude and skills for software engineering
Ceridian is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees. We are an equal opportunity employer and consider and embrace ALL individuals and what makes them unique. We believe our employees should be happy and healthy, with peace of mind and a sense of fulfillment. We provide our employees with comprehensive benefits for various life circumstances and needs, great opportunities for career development, and a balanced lifestyle to achieve personal and professional success. We encourage all individuals to apply for positions that fit their passions.
